The SU positions available were SU President, VP Welfare, VP Education, VP Student Experience, VP Community and Engagement, VP International, and VP Southend.
And the moment that everyone was waiting for it’s here now, the winners are:
The new SU President is Kieran Philips, VP Welfare is Nifemi Wilson-Adu, VP Education is Joe Holmes, VP Community, and Engagement is Quratulain Muzammil, VP Student Experiences is Joar Blume-Robertson, VP International is Adrian Wong, and VP Southend is Marium Masroor.
On the 10th of March, the candidates were announced on all SU social media platforms, all of them ready to start their campaign and share their manifestos, views, and experiences with our students.
The voting started on the 14th of March at 10 am and closed at 4 pm on the 15th of March.
Our campus was so active in the last couple of days during campaigning. Flyers, posters, t-shirts, and lots, lots of students all of them working hard to promote themselves and share their ideas.
The New Sabbatical Team will start their roles from July 2023 to July 2024 and we are all looking forward to seeing what their big plan is and how this will improve students’ life at Essex.
