The UoE L’Art Pour L’Art and UoE Music Societies offer the Colchester campus a unique, sweet treat that marries poetry with live – A Muse in Melody. The event, hosted in the Hexagon on the 18th March with doors opening at 19:00, promises to satisfy the appetites of so many students and staff, who hunger for an evening of creative expression. Natascha Rimo explains what we can expect:[/cs_text][x_blockquote cite=”Natascha Rimo” type=”left” class=”quote”]“A muse in melody: The muse is the poet. The melody is the band. Join us in The Hexagon to hear a conversation between the poets and the musicians.”[/x_blockquote][cs_text]But are we not all rebels with a cause nowadays Natascha? A Muse in Melody believes so, supporting some of Colchester’s most vulnerable people through the Colchester Night Shelter. L’Art Pour L’Art or ‘Art for Art’s sake’ promises excellent music and a platform for some of the best poets on campus. [/cs_text][cs_text]They live among us, so go find them! And remember to bring your own wine and beer, because a poet’s musings taste so much better when splashed with red wine. [/cs_text][x_blockquote cite=”Natascha Rimo” type=”left” class=”quote”]“Wander through a time lapse of undistinguished, overheard musicians and poets in that land of lost circuits”[/x_blockquote][cs_text]Tickets are £3 and you can get them at the door from 18:30. BYOB.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]
