Rebel Radio will go live for 50 Hours for the fourth year running.
12PM 27th of February – 2PM 29th February.
The Rebellion is in support of The UK Sepsis Trust and Mid and North East Essex Mind – Our Student’s Union chosen charities.
As our veterans will know, and our new presenters will soon find out, going for 50 hours is no small feat, and will doubtless be a fun and exciting experience for all. We have specials of our regular programming, as well as guest shows from our societies here at University of Essex, and our newer presenters coming on air for what will be the highlight of their radio career (So far)!
If those things don’t excite you, then you can be sure to be entertained by our new Murder Mystery, The Baumgart Affair, in our Head of Radio’s radio drama debut. The cast do not know the killer, so you can also attempt to work out the murder as the cast do. With some ambient music, and some family intrigue, it is something that is not to be missed.
This year for the fifty hour Rebellion, we are helping the charities chosen by our students here at the University of Essex: Mid and North East Essex Mind, along with Sepsis UK. These are causes that help people affected by some of the worst conditions, both mentally and physically, and we at Rebel believe that it is the least we can do to try and make a difference, to help however we can. We know that despite the tired eyes that there will be at the end of this event, that everything we do will help out.
Alex – Rebel Head of Radio
