We will be trying as many as possible (so you don’t have to) and bringing you our recommendations. Look out for short reviews, pictures of us making fools of ourselves and some of Essex’s more obscure sports!

[/x_blockquote][cs_text]Ballet is great! People tend to think Ballet is a bit…’vanilla’ but it’s actually great fun and a good combination of muscle stretching and lengthening. It’s also a really nice workout (one that you can definitely feel in the calves the next day!) I went along to the beginners’ class run by the lovely Poppy Scarlett who covered the basics for the newcomers such as positions of the feet and arms.

After learning a couple of combinations and jumps we went on to learn a short routine that the class had been in the midst of learning. The more advanced girls were supportive and ready to give advice on technique for us slightly more wobbly newbies.

Best Part: Feeling like a princess for an hour
Worst Part: Realising my balance isn’t quite as good as I thought it was.

Many thanks to the Dance Society for letting Rebel take part and snap some photos![/cs_text][x_blockquote cite=”” type=”left” class=”quote”]Out of 10
